I am a professionally qualified City & Guilds level 3 Dog Groomer, with Canine Reiki Healing certification, Canine First Aid Certification and I am an Emmi-pet Teeth Cleaning Technician. Having suffered with anxiety myself, i can imagine how anxiety provoking a trip to the groomers can be for your pet, i suppose how many of us feel visiting the dentist, not knowing what is coming next! Working with animals is where i feel calm and at my happiest, and so it is my wish to pass on that gift to your pet with a stress-free grooming session in a calm, tranquil, one-to-one environment. I gained my level 3 qualification at the world recognised AbbFabb Academy, being taught the art of 'restraint free' grooming. I was amazed at how steadying a dog with gentle constant touch, rather than restraining straps, helped them to relax as they feel 'less trapped'. I adapted this further by training in Animal Reiki, and linked with The Holistic Dog Grooming Academy who shared my ideals. The idea for 'The Dog Stylist' was born! I do not use cages or cabinet dryers . I do not rush a treatment thus ensuring each dog has a positive experience going at their pace so my appointments may take longer. Essential oils are diffused throughout the Spa, and relaxing music for canines is played to promote a complete sensory experience for visiting dogs.

My dog Coco, would not let me clean her teeth, the best i could do was to get her to suck the toothpaste of a brush. So I had little confidence she would accept the Emmi-pet brush, but Raina was very gentle with her and took her time. Raina gained Coco's confidence, gently persuading her and amazingly Coco let her clean her teeth. Coco now has a regular teeth cleaning appointment and is quite relaxed.

Terms and Conditions

Regular grooming is beneficial for all dogs. Maintaining a consistent grooming schedule helps dogs feel more relaxed during grooming sessions. Additionally, a clean and knot-free coat aids in temperature regulation and supports your dog's overall well-being. Groomers can often detect early signs of illness in dogs; while we cannot formally diagnose issues, we will always let you know of any changes we notice in your pet.

The Dog Stylist reserves the right to refuse services to customers who do not maintain a regular grooming schedule of at least every 8 weeks.

To secure your chosen appointment slot, a £25 booking fee is required. This fee can be deducted from the total cost of your grooming session on the day of your appointment or rolled over to secure future bookings.
